Mushrooms, true to their names, are fast-growing organisms, sprouting particularly post-rain. Despite their fast growth, naked eye cannot capture the different stages of their development, and it is here that these wonderful time-lapse graphics come in handy for knowing the fungi growth in detail. The time-lapses show the enormous power of the mushroom buds as they come out from the ground, later expanding their caps in beautiful designs. The part seen over the ground is known as mushroom fruit, a small part of the organism, which is a short-lived reproductive structure holding 92% water. Then, mycelium of the mushroom comes out from the soil, which unlike the fruit, survives for years.
