California’s skateboard culture of the 70s has left a permanent mark in Skateboarding as well as in America’s culture. Huge Holland, a photographer has beautifully and perfectly captured the soul of that period in his album “Locals Only: California Skateboarding 1975-1978” a beautiful and exquisite thing to look out for every skateboard fan. Strangely, the drought which hit California helped in catalyzing popularity of Skateboard culture. Swimming pools as well as drainage ditches were laying empty as well as dry which allowed kids to play skateboards, few of which were simple wooden boards having wheels. Have a look at these nostalgic pictures in this link.
