Japan Traditional Art Painting

Japan traditional art painting or commonly called Gyotaku is a traditional Japanese technique for painting, especially painting marine life. Gyotaku is derived from the word “kyo” which means fish and “taku” meaning rubbing. So, the technique is to put ink into the body of the fish then the fish is stressed into rice papers. When finished using the fish, do not forget to wash the fish to be cleared and then we could cook and eat it. Japan Art Painting was done by an artist named Heather Fortner.
