An inventive engineer, Bruce Campbell, purchased a non-working Being 727 plane fuselage and upgraded it into an unusual home. The large commercial airliner is strengthened upon concrete pillars in a wooded area located in the sub-urban side of Portland. The aircraft has features of makeshift towers and he is still now working on installing a toilet and restoring some of its interior elements like lights and seats. For 6 months of a year he lives in it and the rest of the time in Japan where he is also planning on buying and re-using a non-working Boeing 747. Check out pictures of this innovative home in this link.
